Shooting Summer: Capturing sun, sand, and smiles

By Amy Wright | Jul 7, 2020

Summertime is upon us and we’re back to living our best lives. The sun is shining, the weather is warm, and we’re spending as much time outdoors as possible.

With the warm weather comes a great number of activities and opportunities to snap pictures of the moments we want to remember. With so many beautiful things to take photos of, we don’t blame you for filling up your camera roll every single day.

Here are some of our favorite times to pull out our cameras and capture those summer moments.

1. The beach

You may not live right next to the ocean (and if you do, lucky you!), but you likely still have access to a beach close by! The beach is a must-visit at least once every summer and it also happens to be a great place to take photos. Whether you prefer to take photos of the scenery, the people you’re with, or the food you’re grilling up, the photo ops are endless.

2. Camping/Hiking/Being outdoors

Since the sun is shining and the weather is warm, it’s safe to say many of us will be soaking it up every chance we get. That means often spending time in nature! So be sure to bring your camera/smartphone along with you on all of your hikes and camping trips. You never know when you’re going to see the best sunset of your life, the most interesting looking bug you’ve ever seen, or a view you just can’t beat with the people you love the most.

3. The park

Parks are the perfect place to hang out with your family, friends, or your pup. With an endless list of possible activities, you’ll definitely want to make sure that you have a camera on you to capture the smiles of the people you are closest to.

Don’t forget, once you take those stunning photos, it’s time to print them!

If you’re looking for a fun artsy look, opt for a canvas print. If you’re looking for something with a sophisticated touch, a framed print is for you. If you’re looking for a completely unique option, go for a triptych print. Can’t decide on just one photo? Then our collage prints are perfect for you!
